Planting of Queen’s Green Canopy at Plumpton Racecourse

As part of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee last year, the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative was launched to commemorate this event and create a living legacy for Her Majesty, with over one million trees planted and you can see a map of all the trees planted here.

On 21st March 2023, Plumpton Racecourse proudly planted an apple tree to support the initiative and in memoriam to honour Her Majesty. We invited the Lord-Lieutenant Andrew Blackman, the High Sheriff of East Sussex Jane King, and Christopher Abergavenny to the planting at Plumpton Racecourse, and our very own Adrian Pratt, alongside his wife Leanora, hosted the short ceremony.
