Retired Racehorse Stable – Ballycoe

We’re delighted to welcome Ballycoe to our Retired Racehorse Stable on Monday.

Ballycoe began his racing career with Paul Nicholls before transferring to the yard of Chris Gordon, where he won three races for owner Dan Dennis, including at Plumpton (pictured above) on 22nd April 2016.

He last raced in 2018 and had 2 years in the grass before being retrained by Emma Paice, who has ‘Bally’ on full loan from her neighbour Wendy Good. Emma and ‘Bally’ have since done preliminary-level dressage in competition, where he’s always placed, and he’s now working on elementary to medium-level movements at home.

He’s been to numerous fun rides and loves hacking out. Emma and Bally have also been cross country and show-jump training and aim to event in the coming season. They’ve also done some showing classes which they’ve enjoyed too.

Bally is looking forward to meeting Plumpton racegoers, so do give him a pat and a polo! Our Retired Racehorse Stable can be found next to the parade ring.
