Lets Celebrate Sussex!
Gates Open: 12:00pm
First Race: 2:10pm
Last Race: 5:25pm
We are proud to be part of the Sussex Community and this day aims to showcase many of the things that makes Sussex so great with this a whole host of activities, demonstrations and entertainment from the local area.
In the marquee we hold the third edition of the 'Sussex Farmers Market', which brings together food, drink, sport, culture, wildlife and crafts from all over Sussex.
We also have demonstrations throughout the day from local Morris Dances trops. Sussex Falconry are also here, and we’ll have a wonderful display of their stunning birds of prey. Please Do take a wander over and say hello as they like visitors. We also have some big games (Down the Clown, Tin Can Alley, Ring the Bottle) and bouncy castles for the young (and maybe older!) racegoers to enjoy!
We always try and source locally where we can, but an extra special effort is made on this day to use local produce and we’ll have a Sussex theme infused into some of our dishes, like having our own branded gin available (made by Slake Spirits, West Sussex), Hairy Dog beer (Wivelsfield) and locally sourced hot dogs offerings as well as restaurant and hospitality options aplenty.
