Monday 11th March - Anglo-Irish Raceday

Cheltenham Festival week kicked off with an exciting six-race card at Plumpton and Bryony Frost was back in the headlines as she enjoyed her 100th winner on board Myplaceatmidnight in the Novices' Hurdle. The brilliant young rider has been seen to good effect on Brandon Castle at Plumpton this season and this was another winner for Neil King, the seven-year-old making all to land plenty of bets.

Cadeau du Bresil was another gambled-on winner in the Follow Us On Twitter @starsports_bet Handicap Chase. Grant Cann's charge was appearing in a 0-100 handicap for the first time and was far too good for his rivals under Josh Moore.

Jerry McGrath enjoyed a double from his only two rides on the card. Micquus followed up his win here in January in the Structured Communications Novices' Handicap Chase for Seamus Mullins.

The Irishman was also on board the well-backed King Muro, who proved all the better for a breathing operation with a comfortable success in the Canter Club Handicap Hurdle for Michael Roberts. Good things clearly come in threes for the jockey as he won on his next ride in the Ultima Handicap Chase at Cheltenham on Tuesday with Beware The Bear for boss Nicky Henderson.

Trainer George Baker is best known for his success on the Flat but has an excellent record with his jumps runners at Plumpton and enjoyed another victory with new recruit Steel Bob in the John Laker 90th Birthday Handicap Hurdle, Marc Goldstein doing the steering.

Plumpton is also proving to be a happy hunting ground for conditional jockey Ben Godfrey and his win on Rosy World for Suzy Smith in the Star Sports In The App Store Now Mares' Handicap Hurdle was his second from just three rides at the track. Keep an eye out for him!
