21st & 22nd April - Easter Festival 

Over 10,000 people attended the two-day sun-soaked Easter Festival which produced some fantastic action and a bit of history, as Dan Skelton enjoyed two winners on his way to a monumental 200 for the season on the Sunday. Istimraar made a successful return for the yard in the Core Spreads Novices' Handicap Chase, while Kereman ran out an easy winner of the Core Spreads Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle. Both horses were partnered by the stable's very promising young rider William Marshall.

Plumpton's leading trainer Gary Moore enjoyed three winners over the two days. Jamie Moore was on board for Sunday's double for owners Galloping On The South Downs Partnership, with The Flying Sofa landing the odds in the Core Spreads Maiden Hurdle, and It's Got Legs taking the Core Spreads Novices' Hurdle. Darebin walked over in Monday's Tie The Knot Wedding Catering Handicap Chase.

Fiesole ran out a ready winner in the feature Core Spreads Sussex Champion Hurdle for Olly Murphy and David England, quickening clear impressively in the straight. He's one to keep on side for the valuable summer handicaps.

Amy Murphy's Mercian Prince made all under Jack Quinlan in the first running of the £50,000 William Hill Sussex Champion Chase.

Stream Lady came out on top in the Extech Cloud-Humanising IT Handicap Hurdle for David Pipe and Tom Scudamore, pulling clear of The Tin Miner, who was starting out for Chris Gordon and looks sure to pick up a race off his reduced mark in the coming weeks. That one's former trainer David Bridgwater was among the winners also as Jot'Em Down was left clear under Dan Hiskett in an eventful Core Spreads Novices' Handicap Chase.

Ludlow trainer Alastair Ralph enjoyed a memorable 1-2 in the Strong Flavours Catering Mares' Handicap Hurdle as Our Rockstar took the measure of Tennewrow.

Seamus Mullins has enjoyed a tremendous season with his runners at Plumpton and Passing Dream was the Wiltshire trainer's seventh winner here in the Harry And Betty Savill Memorial Novices' Handicap Hurdle, edging ahead of Itsonlyrocknroll late on under Jerry McGrath.

No No Cardinal ended a long losing run in the Crystal Services Commercial And Domestic Cleaning Handicap Chase, coming home in good style under 7 lb conditional Ed Austin for Mark Gillard.

Praeceps looked all class as he won the J.H. Builders Juvenile Hurdle for Alan King and Wayne Hutchinson.

Young rider Charlie Todd has had a fantastic April and notched up a fourth win in the Core Spreads Handicap Chase on the Dai WIlliams-trained Mister Mister.
