January 2022

Many thanks for visiting this page and we hope to see you soon at Plumpton Racecourse.

Further to the situation changing daily, please also see our social media feeds and e-comms for any changes made closer to racedays themselves.

At the moment, the Government are allowing sporting events to continue but with some restrictions around attendance. However, as Plumpton will not have more than 4,000 people in attendance – there will be no Vaccine Passport or negative lateral flow test required to gain entry to the racecourse. That said, we would recommend taking a lateral flow test before attending, and if you have any symptoms, please do not travel to the racecourse.

If attending any future fixture, please do bring your face mask with you and wear this indoors if not eating or drinking.

In our Restaurant and Hospitality settings, the Government guidance is clear and face masks are not required in these areas.

All of our bars serve food and drink and will contain less than 500 people and so the guidance says that a mask is not legally required. However we would recommend you wearing them in crowded spaces for an added layer of protection both for you and those in the surrounding areas.

As a venue we ask that we are all respectful of one another please. And so whilst you are eating or drinking then masks do not need to be worn, but if you are in a busy area when not consuming food or drink indoors then please do consider wearing a mask. We actively encourage customers to wear masks when indoors. There is some outdoor cover, outdoor food vendors and a coffee hut serving externally for those who do not wish to venture indoors.

There are different rules for racing’s participants which are communicated with them directly, and owners also have some separate rules to abide by which can be seen here.

Please also refer to our long standing Code of Conduct for the day.

These are precautions to try and ensure everyone feels safe, and we so we thank you in advance for abiding by them. We will endeavour to update these details as soon as any guidance changes.

Best wishes & here's to a great season of racing,

The Plumpton Team.
